BM Solutions presents £1million cheque to Shelter

BM Solutions has raised £1million for housing and homelessness charity, Shelter.

On Monday 30th June, Managing Director of HBOS Intermediaries, Nigel Stockton presented a cheque for £1million to staff at Shelter's West Midlands Housing Advice Centre in Birmingham.

For three years, BM Solutions has made a donation to Shelter each time it sold certain mortgages to customers. The lender has also organised a series of five-a-side football tournaments and competed in Shelter running events to raise money for the charity's work with thousands of homeless and badly housed families.

Simon Johnson, Service Manager at Shelter's West Midlands Housing Advice Centre was delighted with the donation. He said, "We are grateful to Birmingham Midshires for their generous support and commitment to Shelter. The £1million raised will substantially help Shelter's work in giving housing advice and support to thousands of homeless and badly housed families seeking advice and support throughout the country."

Nigel Stockton said, "We know that support like this is vital for Shelter's tremendous work to continue. It's a credit to the fantastic efforts of our colleagues and partners that we are able to raise this amount to help Shelter support families across the region."
